What's good NCBL family hope everyone had a great little vacation and are prepared for the new season. I apologize for the first write up but due to other obligations with job I was unable to. I see we have new teams and the prospects of that should make this season one to remember. Look out for my write-ups which is coming and let's get this season started with a bang. God Bless.

Sister T,

Oh boy, You have me cracking up over here!

I am happy you are done with this topic. Coach Felix's character is not in question here; He is an upstanding man of God.

The call good or bad is made and is unfortunately a part of the game because of the human element. We can't at this point asking for Instant Replay when it was not used from the start of the season. Further more will your church or my church pay the extra dollars to fund this?

The bottom line is dollars...For the Teams who will be participating next season if we don't want this to happen again, put up or shut up.

White Plains fans must give Flatbush their due, I am sure its the first time in almost three years they have to play catch up in the dying moments of a game and if I were on your side of the fence I'd be mad too.

Lets be fair Sister T, and I'll ask this question and let it rest from here. If the tables were turned and lets be honest, would you want the referee to change his call at that junction?

Take care and God Bless Sister T. :-)

‎@ Observer on NCBL: Hummmm….. It sounds like you are having difficulty grasping or comprehending my entry. It’s not about winning or losing it’s about veracity. To answer your question… Knowing coach Felix’s character personally, I’m confident that he would have recommended overtime. This man is the poster board of fairness and principles of right conduct. Furthermore, what does coming from the suburbs have to do with the price of beans? The suburbs parallel class. Stick to the matter and stop name calling, its misuse of time. Since my time is valuable, I’m done with this topic. God Bless!

History was made on Saturday 5-21-2011 at the NCBL Senior Championship basketball game. The game ended in an 84- 84 tie. Now I know what the hard core basketball aficionados and experts are saying; it is not possible for a basketball game to end in a tie. They are of course correct; but; hear me out for a few. Not only am I a big basketball fan but I am also a big fan of the “Beautiful Game” soccer and these sorts of ending to soccer games are an every day occurrence. However, it is quite obvious to me and the over 500 people that were in attendance at the championship game that all three referees and a great many of the commissioners that were present are not big soccer fans and they wanted to make sure that there were no confusion about which game we were all watching. So they took matters into their own hands and gift wrapped the game and gave it to Flatbush. Is Christmas still in December??! Some people say White Plains players, coaches, fans, and supporters are too cocky and expect to win every game they play. Yes, to be truthful there is a grain of truth to that statement; we are a confident bunch. Once again the referees and a few commissioners decided to teach White Plains a life lesson in humility and gave a present to Flatbush….. Happy Birthday, Flatbush. Some other people say that White Plains are sore losers and should act bigger that the unfortunate incompetence of game officials and a few commissioners. We are willing to forgive because we are a forgiving type of people; as our history of slavery and Christianity has demonstrated. However, league officials and commissioners must also be willing to act accordingly as well. They could start out by making an official statement acknowledging that there is a small possibility that all three of the referees might have gotten the call wrong and that they are sorry about the situation and the perception of unfairness that has resulted. They could also acknowledge that it was unfortunate and will work towards putting corrective measures in the future. After all we are all human beings. “ The Human Element” is a part of sports.

To all my First White Plain fans and friends.

Just a quick question, If the tables were turned would all this call for Ethics, Integrity, Respect and all those other stuff be out there like this.

The ref is human and can make a bad call, or are you guys mad because you did not get the chance to put on your three peat T-Shirts and Hats that you all brought in from the suburbs?

I'm just saying!

Says:
What makes a good referee to me. Ethics - the discipline dealing with what is good and bad and with moral duty and obligation. Integrity - Probably the most important character trait all referees should have. A strong sense of personal integrity: honesty to convince others to trust him. Courage - Courage is just as important as integrity; courage and integrity will carry an official a long way (what the official knows to be right and wrong.) Respect - Someone who has the respect of both teams. Someone who makes good and fair calls. Getting the Obvious Calls Right - Good officials should get those right 99.99% of the time. Control - Someone who will not allow the crowd reaction to affect his judgment. Anti-Game Wrecker - Someone who can execute and exhibit coolness under fire. Again getting the obvious calls right! Understanding - Someone who realizes that immorality to win a game isn' t really winning Losing is not the issue, it's getting the call right! Even after the officials reviewed the taping of that last point they still chose to stick with their decision. The video was apparent. The buzzard went off before the shot was taken. Integrity, Naw . . Does this represent fairness to you? Ethics, Naw .  . How can a person feel complete victory knowing the evident? Personally, I want to earn my win honestly so that my bragging rights are pure, without corruption.
