Congratulations to Coach David Felix and the FWP Basketball Club on the season of excellence. Although, you have faced many adversities, you have demonstrated what it takes to be a champion. Coach, you have been a great influence to many lives and your a true testament that demonstrates leadership that is needed among todays young men. I must admit that the Championship was one of the best games that I have seen in a long time. FWP can now just sit back and enjoy the win. |

As the coach of First White Plains, I want to thank everyone for their continuous support. A special thanks to Pastor Binns, the FWP family and to my team for adhering to the team code of conduct and demonstrating what "team concept" is all about even through adversity. It was a great season and the overall result was even greater (SECOND NCBL CHAMPIONSHIP IN TWO YEARS). What people fail to understand is that the "TEAM CONCEPT" is the secret to greatness. It really doesn't matter how many good/skilled players that's on your team. If the coach is not able to harness these talents and if the players do not believe in the "TEAM CONCEPT," the "TEAM" will always fail. There is no “I" in team. Many times some of my players do get frustrated because of my constant reminder of the "TEAM CONCEPT" and the ability to play as one unit. In addition, they are reminded about the FWP church family that they represent. Last, but not least, I want to say thank you to Milo for the great commentaries and the NCBL Commissioners for conducting a professional league that enabled FWP to thrive. To the team, WAY TO GO, GREAT JOB in fulfilling our team goal. |
