A New Champion is Crowned.

Game time action - Photo compliments of ClarkshotThe "Battle of Armageddon" truly was a battle. Both teams represented and played their hearts out. Linden played one of their typical games getting down but finding a way to man up. They fell to a better team this night and should walk with their heads high. Not too many teams can say they played in two championship games in the last three years winning one. Most teams would wish they could get out of the first round, so for those people who feel Linden is overrated they are not taking a holistic view.

To get to a championship game is difficult in itself much less two years out of three. I expect Linden to be back in the mix next year. With that said I would like to congratulate the new champs "White Plains" for a tremendous effort and doing what only few teams have done coming back into the league. They have a well balanced attack and it showed in the score. The game could have gone either way but at the end of the night it was White Plains celebrating.

I picked Linden to win by 2 points and they ended up losing by 3 points so it could have gone either way. I guess the same could be said for Cleveland losing to Orlando. Most people picked them because their chemistry was on a high level like Linden but they faced a tougher team with a perfect game plan. If Linden had gotten blown out then people could talk and laugh that they weren't as good as they thought, but they didn't so that says volume.
I could only imagine what people are saying on the web site but all I could say is no other team or players this year have played White Plains and defeated them except Linden and in the biggest game of the year they fell short by 3 points.

Well that's it for a great season thanks to all for making it memorable and looking forward to next season. Well as tradition we must send Linden the last team defeated fishing for the summer. The boat leaves at 12 noon so fellas get your hats, and hooks ready for what would be an exciting trip on the Jersey Shore. All the best and remember "Tomorrow isn't promised to us", so practice to make not only your life better but those you come in contact with.

Players practice and prepare not only for next season but for the rest of your lives because basketball like everything else will not last forever but the memories would last throughout time. The things you do and say might not be major in your life but it could be the difference between life and death for someone else. So remember to always put God first and last in every sentence so that you are always impacting someone life in a positive way. God Bless until next time this is Milo signing out.
