Sometime during the night of June 13, 2009, Lue Eller Williams, the mother of Commissioner Barbara Williams, passed away in her sleep. Barbara and her husband Doug have traveled together to South Carolina to take care of the arrangements.

In your time of need words cannot express what our hearts want to say. If only a loss such as yours can be wiped away with a touch or hug, many of us would have lined up to do so. I can only hope that you know that the thoughts and prayers of my family and the NCBL Senior Division family are with you. The Bible says in Isaiah 26:19 "But your dead will live; their bodies will rise. You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy." Let us be prepared to meet Jesus our Savior to live with Him and all our love ones for eternity. May Jesus comfort you during your time of sorrow.
